Under the current shape, the Egyptian tricolour was adopted a little time after the fall of the monarchy, in 1952. The colours of the flag of Egypt are common to numerous states of the Middle East, what gives evidence of the influence of this country in the political life of the nations of Islamic tradition.
The red symbolizes there revolution and sacrifices of the people, white the radiant future of the country, and the black the past years of the oppression.
On the current version of the Egyptian flag, adopted in 1984, one finds a traditional symbol of the Arabic unity, Saladin's eagle (Sultan founder of the dynasty ayyubide (1138-1193), it gathers{*reunites*} under its authority Egypt, Hedjaz, Syria and Mesopotamia), which already appeared under a slightly different shape in the weapons of the State between 1923 and 1971.
